RE: JConsole issue -- Help me Obi-Mallareddy-Wan ~Fred Asatumisterobu 29.Oct.02 05:10 PM a Web browser Domino Administrator 6.0Windows 2000
Mr. Karra, thank you for your assistance. I've checked the admindata.xml on a another server in our domain. JCConsole works *great* with it (same setup, as far as I can see). Two servers, same domain, same rights as admin in server document, but on one I can't use JConsole from my desktop. I still get the warning note that I am not an administrator.
Here is the admindata.xml of the non-working server:
There is a difference between the admindata.xml on the working and non-working servers. On the working server, all the <admins> entries are letter-by-letter identical. However, immediately after </admins> the next lines are:
The <groups> entries are identical between the two admindata.xml documents.
I tried to force the non-working server by (1) downing it and (2) replacing the good admindata.xml over the bad. It didn't work (which you must realize). The non-working server came back up and rewrote its admindata.xml into it's prior, non-working, state.
Hope there is a clue, here, for your review. Do you think I need to uninstall and reinstall Domino? That's what we did on the server which works with the jconsole.
Thanks, very much for your time and effort,
Karl
